Beautiful Large Ivory Coast Djembe Drum

We have been selling off a great shipment of djembes from many different African countries, Gambia, Ghana, Senegal, and Ivory Coast. This particular drum is a large Ivory Coast drum.
This particular choice natural drum is incredibly beautiful, carved from dark hard wood (Mahogany or ??) with very subtle carvings around the base. It has deep rich tones and sounds fantastic. This one has a solid rich tone, and measures 25 1/2 inches tall and has a 15 1/2 inch diameter head.The drum is carved then rubbed and stained into a very beautiful piece, then carved with traditional decorations and restained. The head is Goat Skin and has interesting natural patterns for you to enjoy, with a little fur (hair) on the foldover flap to soften the blows to your hands on long gigs. The rings are all wrapped and tied beautifully. A truely beautiful and incredible drum!
Note small blemish an the base, where a branch was probably growing out of the main trunk. These imperfections are typical on large hardwood drums, and not "filled over" with things that might produce a bad sound or buzz.
These Ivory Coast drums normally sell for $100 or $125 more than the Ghana and Gambian drums. (Due to extra inland Freight and superior craftsmanship) Retail $325-425 Street price is unknown, not seen often, somewhat rare, probably $250-275
