Nice 21"x12.5" Djembe  Drum 

We sell off  great shipments of djembe's  Imported from Ghana,
Gambia, Senegal, Mali and other wonderful countries and they are incredible!   
      
This  particular drum is one we call medium size, but has incredible appeal
and sounds like it was much larger.  
It has a solid rich  tone, measures 21 inches tall and has a 12.5  inch diameter head 
(11 " playable dia.).

 The  wood is quite beautiful,  you can see minor variances in the wood.    It plays well and is really a fine drum. 

Yes as with all our natural drums it uses a real goat skin head, you can see the natural patterns on the drum head.  The tensioning rings are beautifully wrapped with colorful cloth to protect them (and your hands), and the verticals are evenly spaced, it is made by an exceptional Gambian carver.

The drum is carved from one individual piece of wood and is rubbed and carved into a very beautiful piece.   The head is Goat Skin and has interesting natural patterns for you to enjoy.      An incredible and classic drum, both in looks and sound!  This is the main drum for most solid drum circles and should serve you well!     Retail 179-249.
