 Beautiful Large African We have been selling off a great shipment of djembe's (healing drums) from Ghana and they are incredible!
You can see some knots in the the base, see pictures above and below. Trees are natural, and have knots and color variations. They are to be expected in large drums. Many carvers have perfected ways to cover them up, this is not one of those drums. The carver did not want to hide anything, the wood grains were too beautiful to do so. It plays fine and is really a wonderful drum.
The drum is carved from one individual piece of
wood and is rubbed and carved into a
very beautiful piece. The head is Goat Skin and has interesting natural
patterns for you to enjoy. An incredible and classic drum, both in looks and sound! This is
the main drum for most solid drum circles and should serve you well!
