One week in a beautiful Mountain Cabin in Estes Park Colorado !
Come relax and enjoy the finest on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park ( RMNP)

Named FARAWAY CABIN in the 40's,  most just call it the Red Cabin.

The cabin has been remodeled and expanded 3 or 4 times since originally built back at the turn of the century.  It has been in our family since about 1910.    This is the sort of cabin and atmosphere that has made Estes Park so popular.   Although close to town (you can walk it in 10 minutes) it is secluded and quite private.   It is  very comfortable, and very traditional.

Here is the view of the front as you drive up toward the cabin.  There is a tire swing in the tree to the left.   parking for 4 cars.
The big Green porch does not show here very well, but it is wonderful,  a great place to read, dine, watch wildlife, entertain and really just enjoy the beautiful view and fresh crisp air.   The Deck entertains about 10-12 easily.    The right side of the cabin has some more porch, and has a built on room holding the washer/dryer so you don't need to go to the washateria! 

Nice homes like this are in high demand during the short prime rental season.  
Comparable properties will be seen renting for $1800-2100 per week in prime time (June 15-Aug 15). 
The week we are offering here will possibly run around $1150-1200    

It features 2 Bedrooms, two full bathrooms, beautiful fireplace, Franklin stove too for those chilly mornings.  Dining
area, kitchen, large open porch, cable TV, phone, free wifi, and beautiful mountain views!  Parking for 4 vehicles.   The regular price of the rental is $1150/week.   Cabin sleeps 8 in a pinch, with 6 being more comfortable and recommended.   Herds of Elk and deer regularly
move through the yard.    The view from the blue bedroom is wonderful,  you cant see a single house.   We always keep all the windows open all summer even when it gets cold, but you may or may not, its your choice.    There are electric baseboard heaters all around the bedrooms and living room if you need them.   The fireplace has a heating unit in it that will warm the whole house for hours and hours without needing reloading of the wood or coal.  This is a very enjoyable cabin and we are sure you will not be disappointed.
 

We did not use  TV in the cabin at all until the last few years, and then just recently added cable as the realtor's said
it was required if renting out at all.    There is so much to do in the area and so much outdoor enjoyment etc, that you will not really want to be spending your summer in front of TV.    However, if there is anything major you do want to
see, there is TV and is hooked up to cable.   There is even a VCR if you want to bring a few of your
favorite movies in case of a rainy day
 

The bedrooms each have a queen sized bed and a single bed.  
Dressers with drawer space, and closet space are for your use as well.

 The Kitchen has a wonderful stove that is part gas part firebox.    The firebox is great for cool mornings to throw a little heat to break the chill.     There is a microwave oven, and a coffee maker as well as most common kitchen tools, dishes, and glasses etc.  

Estes Park is noted for great family fun and wonderful mountain viewing and living.   You can search on the words Rocky Mountain National Park, or RMNP, or Estes Park and see hundreds of sites and reviews of things to do and see while in the area.   The town is a cute little quaint old mountain town that you will enjoy and want to come back to time and again.     If you wish you can go to my photography website and see nature pictures I have shot over the years in the area  www.robin.nxs.net

Outside the cabin there are lots of rocks and areas  for kids to climb and play, safe areas,  and longer more difficult hikes
are close by.    My brother and I own this cabin, and our family has owned this and several of the surrounding cabins since
about 1916.   Our rental agent for this cabin, and the people you will work with to handle all aspects of the rental is  Range Property Management,  a great rental management company of merit, long established with an office right on main street in down town Estes Park, and is subject to all their rules and policies, and this rental is governed by Colorado Law.   
The rental normally runs from Saturday to Saturday.   Check in time is 3PM and check out time is 10AM.

Renters will be required to pay a  $250 security deposit, which is refundable if the property is left damage free,
and a non-refundable $65.00 cleaning fee.   
These  must be paid within 3 days of our confirming the date wanted to hold your rental.
